GERMAN EXAMS: ZENTRALE OBERSTUFENPRÜFUNG (ZOP)
The Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP), or Kleines Deutsch Sprachdiplom, is the fifth level of German as a
foreign language issued by the Goethe-Institut. It corresponds to level C2 (Mastery) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung candidates should be able to:
- Demonstrate very good knowledge of the standard German language.
- Understand high difficulty texts.
- Fluently express themselves orally and in writing.
The Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP) is the obligatory German
language test for foreign students at German universities.
