GERMAN EXAMS: ZENTRALE MITTELSTUFENPRÜFUNG (ZMP)
El Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP), or Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch, corresponds to the fourth level of
German as a foreign language issued by the Goethe-Institut. It corresponds to level C1 (Effective Operational Proficiency) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung candidates should be able to:
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the standard German language.
- Correctly express themselves both orally and in writing on a variety of subject matters.
- Understand medium to high difficult texts.
This exam is accepted as the standard German
entrance test in order to be able to study at the majority of German
pre-university colleges, high schools and some universities.
