CAMBRIDGE PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST (PET)
The Cambridge Preliminary English Test, or PET, is the second level of the exams organised by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). It corresponds to level B1 (Waystage) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET) should be able to:
- Understand the essential points of normal
speech and understand conversations about known subjects, such as work,
school, hobbies.
- Make themselves understood in the majority of communication situations that may arise when travelling.
- Express themselves simply and coherently when
talking about know subjects and personal interests. Relate personal
experiences and events and describe their hopes, dreams and
objectives. Briefly explain or justify their plans and opinions.
