CAMBRIDGE FIRST CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH (FCE)
The Cambridge First Certificate in English, or FCE, is the third level in the suite of exams organised by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). It corresponds to level B2 (Vantage) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
First Certificate in English candidates should be able to:
- Understand the basic meaning of general and
abstract texts and actively participate in a conversation within their
field of specialisation.
- Spontaneously and fluently communicate with native speakers without having to make a special effort to be understood.
- Express themselves clearly and precisely in a wide range of subjects.
- Comment on current affairs and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of specific situations.
