DIPLOME APPROFONDI DE LANGUE FRANÇAISE (DALF)
The Diplôme approfondi de langue française, o DALF, is levels five and six of French as a
foreign language issued by CIEP (Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques). The two levels correspond to C1 (Effective Operational Proficiency) and C2 (Mastery) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
DALF C1 candidates should be able to:
- Establish fluid and spontaneous communication.
- Use a wide lexical repertoire.
- Choose the appropriate expression to introduce their observations.
- Use clear, well-constructed and unhesitating discourse.
- Master all structures.
DALF C2 candidates should be able to:
- Accurately and fluently express themselves.
- Undertake advanced or academic tasks.
