DIPLOMA AVANÇADO DE PORTUGUÊS LÍNGUA ESTRANGEIRA (DAPLE)
The Diploma Avançado de Português Língua Estrangeira or DAPLE is the fourth level of
Portuguese as a foreign language issued by the Instituto Camões. It corresponds to level C1 (Effective Operational Proficiency) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
Diploma Avançado de Português Língua Estrangeira candidates should:
- Confidently produce and recognise the lexical and semantic structures for this level in both oral and written communication.
- Be aware of the intrinsic relationship of language and culture, principally by means of idioms concerning the characterisation of people and events, courtesy forms and culturally marked expressions.
- Be creative and flexible in their use of the language.
- Interact in foreseeable and unforeseeable situations.
- Use Portuguese as a working language.
